Ian is a Teaching Professional with emphasis on making the tennis experience fun and achieving success with Members to better their respective games at all levels. Ian has been teaching for 20+ years with stints in California and Colorado, most recently at Columbine Country Club. Ian stresses the conditioning part of the game as well as strategies for developing a sense of geometrics on court and shot selection. All patterns and combinations to control points and be successful in league, drills, match and tournament play. As well as winning with sportsmanship and class. Ian is a member of the United States Professional Teaching Association.
A semi-native of Colorado, Ian graduated from the University of Arizona on a full athletic scholarship playing #1 singles and doubles his junior and senior years achieving a top 20 national ranking. After college, Ian joined the ATP tour and reached highs of top 150 in doubles and 300 in singles while competing in tournaments worldwide, including Wimbledon, U.S. Open and the Australian Open. Ian has two children Ethan (7) and Audrey (5) who live in California. Ian lives with his girlfriend of 4 years Jodi Dyce, the love of his life. Free time is spent with his two children (the other loves of my life), surfing in California, and just relaxing with a good book or cooking. In addition to all his tennis accolades, Ian has traveled the world with a classic rock band, Crosby, Stills and Nash, as their road manager.
