Pinehurst Country Club opened its doors in Southwest Denver in 1958 and has now provided several decades of private club membership with unequaled amenities. Once a gentleman's dairy farm owned and operated by the Carl Norgren family, the golf course took form under Mr. Norgren's watchful eye in fruition of his dream to provide a family oriented country club to families in the southwest part of Denver. Pinehurst Country Club has provided years of athletic opportunities to our members. In addition our beautiful facilities have hosted reunions, weddings, receptions, and special family events.
The 18 hole golf course was designed by Press Maxwell, one of the pre-eminent golf course architects in America. Mr. Maxwell, an honored inductee in the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame, has designed or remodeled 20 well-known courses in the State. Nationally, Maxwell's fine hand can be seen in many great layouts, including Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia. The Maxwell 18 at Pinehurst, one of Mr. Maxwell's finest works, provides a memorable outing to golfers of all skill levels while providing a constant challenge to those more serious about the game. Pinehurst Country Club was bought by the members in 1996 and is now a member owned and operated private country club.
